Here are just a few available opportunities:
Help people find their perfect pet by being an adoption counselor.
Take pets to offsite adoption events.
Greet people when they enter the shelter and help provide exceptional customer service.
Work with cats and dogs - walking, grooming, socializing and more.
Assist with writing pet biographies and taking photos.
And, yes, you can even do laundry and clean kennels!
If you are ready to become a volunteer:
Attend volunteer orientation - You will learn about our unique shelter and partnership with DFW Humane Society and receive hands-on training from a professional dog trainer to learn animal handling skills for working safely with our sheltered animals. A $10 fee will be collected on orientation day for the trainer's services.
