About Towne is a biweekly half-hour arts series that highlights Irving’s excellent local artists and craftsmen, entertainment venues and arts organizations. It also serves the viewing audience by publicizing upcoming concerts, performances, festivals and events.

We’ll find out what happens when the New Philharmonic Orchestra meets a dinosaur. We’ll preview MainStage Irving/Las Colinas’ production, “The Full Monty.” We’ll meet the “Artist of Hope,” Steven Lavaggi. And we’ll showcase some of the emerging visual artists featured in the Senior Portfolio Show/Irving ISD Exhibition of Student Art. Plus, we’ll have the details on Taste of Irving 2018 and the 11th Annual Dragon Boat, Kite and Lantern Festival.

Join us on About Towne for highlights from Breakfast with the Stars and Kameha Con. We’ll also find out what the Fort Worth Zoo brought to West Irving Library and we’ll check out FiberFest 2018. Plus we have details on Canal Fest 2018 with Jasmine Lee and the Irving Black Arts Council’s season finale, “Juneteenth, the Stage Play.”
