Reservation Guidelines and Restrictions
- Alcohol and amplified music are prohibited at all facilities.
- An application is required for all pavilion rentals.
- Rules and guidelines may vary depending on the facility requested.
- Failure to comply with the rules and guidelines will result in forfeiture of future reservations.
All facility reservations and fees must be paid in person at the Parks and Recreation administration office at:

Adult softball practice fields are available for reservation at Fritz Park and Twin Wells Park. Fields are available to registered Irving teams at no charge. Non-registered teams, companies, or individuals may reserve the fields. Reservations must be made during the same week as the desired practice. To reserve a field, please call (972) 721-2656 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Fields are available:
- Monday through Friday: 4 to 11 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Reservations are made in one hour increments with a two hour maximum.
- Fees are due when reservation is made
Softball Field Rates
- Irving resident rates:
$10 / hour without lights
$15 / hour with lights
- Non-Irving resident rates:
$20 / hour without lights
$30 / hour with lights
Multi-Use Rental Buildings
The City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department offers four buildings for public use. The Center for the Arts may be reserved by civic groups or nonprofit organizations only. All others may be reserved for private functions and / or organizational meetings.
Picnic Pavilions and Gazebos

City recreation centers can only be reserved only during non-operational hours. There will be a building leasing fee, and no alcoholic beverages will be allowed for any function.
The school-leased recreation centers are not available for rental. Please call the individual recreation centers for availability.
Reservations must be made within the same one week period and will be limited to a 90-minute period. There is no charge for using the tennis courts.
A listing of the available tennis courts can be found by using the facility charts on hand at the Parks and Recreation office. To reserve a tennis court, please call (972) 721-2656 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
