National Arbor Day is April 27. In honor of the environmental observance, the City of Irving will host an Arbor Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28, at Heritage Park, 217 S. Main St.
The free event will include activities and interactive displays about trees, nature and the outdoors. Children can learn how to climb a tree safely and watch a snake humorist show.
Attendees will receive free tree saplings, information booklets and giveaway items while supplies last. Food will be available for purchase.
