One of the first steps to a great garden is having healthy soil. Knowing the quality of the soil is vital so that improvements can be made to develop a nutrient-rich environment for the plant and its roots. This environment will help the plant thrive as well as help it endure more challenging climate situations. This class will help students know what steps to take to determine their soil type and how to create and maintain a healthy, nutrient-rich environment for plants.
