Food Preservation: FermentationBasic lacto-fermenting techniques - making Kraut History and world practices of fermentation - the oldest known preservation technique. This class will cover the principals behind lacto-fermentation and how to make a basic kraut recipe. This is a hands-on class and students will taste a variety of lacto-ferments. Seating is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Originally from Bulgaria, Miriana Andreeva, has made Dallas her home for the past 15 years. An alumnus of UTD, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in art. Miriana’s love for art, nature, gardening, and cooking was honed from an early age. Today she curates and creates for Flower Power Nation - an offbeat online custom floral and vintage design studio.
