There are many benefits to using compost. According to the EPA, using compost can reduce the need for water, fertilizers, and pesticides. When we think of making compost, we normally conjure up the image of a bin with leaves and grass. But, what about composting of food wastes and other woody materials? This class, Compost Varieties will expand on the basic form of hot composting and will instruct students on a variety of other composting styles including worm composting, sheet composting, Bokashi, cold composting and more.
