The Capital Improvement Program has an opportunity for volunteers of all ages to help educate residents about clean water and our environment. Volunteers are asked to commit to serve a minimum of two hours and each participant or participant’s parent/ guardian is required to sign a waiver of liability.
Duties will include affixing 6-inch by 6-inch ceramic tiles to the tops of storm drain inlets or small 4-inch round rubber markers to the front of curbs at the inlets. Volunteers will also put door hangers on residences in the geographic area where the tiles are to be placed to inform citizens of the program. Those interested may contact Karen Siddall, Drainage Programs Coordinator, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday–Friday at (972) 721-2772 for further information.
