Dear Residents, Business Leaders and Friends:

It is our privilege to welcome you to the City of Irving’s official Web site. We hope you’ll take a few moments to look at the information in these pages, as they reflect a community with many recreational, social and economic opportunities for both residents and visitors.

Irving is a progressive community, combining the best of both large and small cities. Although the city has experienced tremendous growth since our founding 100 years ago, we’ve been able to retain a small-town atmosphere. Irving is not only a place of history, but of pride, involvement and community.

Our diversity makes our city one of the finest in the nation. And Irving leaders and residents have maintained a good balance: respecting and understanding our history while looking to our future. City staff and elected officials work hard to offer more than basic city services and excellent customer service. Planning for a brighter future for our residents is paramount.
