The Irving Police Department provides a link between citizens and their police department by providing volunteer opportunities. Participation in the volunteer program allows citizens to become involved in police department activities and to provide assistance to the staff. There are also opportunities for on-the-job training.

Volunteer work is scheduled to accommodate workers. Daytime and evening hours are available.

The Community Service Division maintains a current list of volunteer opportunities within the Irving Police Department.

The volunteer program is open to all individuals 21 years of age and older. Volunteers must complete an application, go through a screening process and sign a confidentiality agreement. Participants are asked to commit a minimum of 16 hours per month to the program.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like additional information, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 972.721.2746. For more information on these opportunities or to learn more about the Irving Police Department click HERE.
