May 13 | Friends to Host Noted Local Author, Celebrity

The Friends of the Irving Public Library, a nonprofit group dedicated to promoting and supporting the library, will feature a talk with former NBC Sports Anchor Scott Murray during its annual membership meeting at 7 p.m. May 13.

The talk will be held at the Irving Arts Center's Dupree Theater, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd. is the author of Whatever It Takes: Life Lessons Learned Through Sports Legends," and is a much sought after keynote and motivational speaker. Membership is not required to attend.

Murray's speech will follow the annual meeting. The meeting will outline regular business, discuss upcoming activities and welcome new members.
