With $10,000 left in a safe deposit box, Johnny goes to his shyster lawyer who tells him he is better off “dead.” On the brink of starvation, Johnny ends up at an Arizona ranch run for New York City juvenile deliquents (The Dead End Kids) by Peggy (Gloria Dickson) and her feisty mother (May Robeson) who are on the brink of losing the ranch because the funds from their New York benefactor have dried up.
