Online Collaborative Stories
Try your hand at writing by contributing to Irving Public Library's THE BIG READ online collaborative mystery. Two collaborative stories, one for adults and one for teens, will be available throughout the month of October. The community is invited to add to the story and direct where the mystery goes.
Here's how it works:
Click on the buttons above to read the stories, thus far.
To add to the story, click on the submission form.
Add a word, add a sentence — it doesn't matter.
Your submission must go along with past sentences and keep the story flowing logically, please.
Submissions must be made before Oct. 24, the completed story will be available online after Oct. 27
Your submissions must be made to the appropriate story, depending on your age.
The editors reserve the right to edit your contribution, and use or not use it, as they see fit. But if we use your contribution, and it advances the story, you will be registered to win a prize.
Beginning the collaborative online mystery is resident Library Line and NeighborsGo columnist, Uncle McFestus. He will return at the end of the event to wrap up the stories as well.
