Librarian II – Children’s Services
Salary: $3,755 - $5,297 per month, progressive over 11 steps
Closing date: March 25, 2009
General requirements: Duties include advising and providing assistance to library patrons; reviewing and selecting materials for acquisition or disposition; instructing patrons in the use of electronic resources; assisting with children’s programming, presenting programs such as storytime and book talks. Possession of a Master of Library Science degree from an American Library Association-accredited program and one year professional library experience required. Must have knowledge of children’s reading interests and materials selection. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills beneficial.
