Candidate Packets Available for May 9 Council Election
Residents who are interested in becoming a candidate for a City Council position can pick up a candidate packet from the City Secretary’s Office at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. This year, council Places 4, 6 and 8 will be elected in the general election set for May 9. If a runoff election is necessary, it will be held June 13. Candidates running for Place 4 representing that district must have resided in the district for 12 months immediately preceding Election Day. The 30-day filing period is Feb. 9–March 9.

Residentes que están interesados en postular a la candidatura de Concejal/Regidor, pueden recoger un paquete informativo en la Oficina de la Secretaría de la Municipalidad, 825 W. Irving Blvd. Las elecciones de este año para las posiciones de Concejeros Distritales, Lugares 4, 6 y 8, han sido fijadas para el 9 de Mayo. Si una elección de salida es necesaria, será sostenido el 13 de junio. Los candidatos postulando para Lugar 4 deben haber sido residentes del distrito por lo menos un año antes de postular a la elección. El período de inscripción de 30 días será el 9 de febrero hasta el 9 de Marzo.
