Irving’s visual image is being enhanced through the creation of regional entryways into the city along highways and major thoroughfares. Improvements are being made to more than 33 miles of thoroughfares that serve 400,000 automobiles on a daily basis.
The project uses several funding sources, such as tariffs, franchise fees, gas lease revenues and general obligation bonds, to provide for more enhancements using fewer taxpayer dollars.
