All Things Animals at Wags, Whiskers, Pet Pawlooza
Celebrate the partnership of Irving Animal Services and the DFW Humane Society during Wags and Whiskers Week set for March 26-30.
The third anniversary of this first-ever collaborative agreement in Texas between a municipal and private animal welfare agency will feature a variety of activities for animal lovers of all ages. The weeklong Wags and Whisker’s celebration will be capped with Pet Pawlooza on March 30. To mark this milestone, Irving Animal Care Campus (IACC) is offering the following adoption specials on available pets.
March 26 – Two-Furr Tuesday
Two animals can be adopted for the price of one on Two-Furr Tuesday.
March 27 – Half Price for All
Take home a loving companion for half off the regular adoption fee.
March 28 – 40 Pounds or Larger Free
Dogs weighing more than 40 pounds are available for free adoption.
March 29 – Clare Morris Free Feline Friday
Cats, 1 year and older, are available for free adoption on Free Feline Friday.
March 30 – Pet Pawlooza
All animals 3 years and older are available for free adoption. Pets are invited to bring their people to join in the fun at the Pet Pawlooza celebration, which will include contests, activities and entertainment. Pet photos with the Easter Bunny will be available at Pet Pawlooza for a $10 donation. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Pet PAwlooza will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Birds of Prey presentation will be at 10:30, and the contests will begin at 11:30.
Proceeds from the events will benefit the animals at the IACC. The IACC, located at 4140 Valley View Lane, is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Adoptions must be processed 30 minutes before closing.
