Security Drill — Active Shooter on Campus Training

The Irving Police Department in conjunction with Irving ISD will be performing a department wide active shooter drill on March 29 at Bowie Middle School, 600 E. Sixth St.

On March 29, the Irving Police Department along with Irving ISD security officers, staff and student volunteers will be conducting active shooter training at Bowie Middle School. The training will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. In order to properly train for such a crisis, the department will be deploying all of its resources, as if responding to an actual emergency. If you see police activity in the area of Bowie Middle School, on the listed day, remember that this training will be taking place.

Even though there is no school on the date of the training, the Irving ISD will be notifying parents of the training.
