Irving will host its second annual Earth Day Eco-Film Fest from April 18–20 featuring a collection of 40 eco-conscious movies and documentaries. Campión Trail Night Hike
Ages 5 to adult are invited to join native species experts to explore the nighttime world of animals at Campión Trail from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 26 (meeting location provided upon registration). Attendees will learn about the sights and sounds of nature. Registration is required. Groups of 10 or more must call (972) 742-2296.
Learn about the benefits of drip irrigation and other irrigation methods including the efficient use of soaker hoses from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 6 at Senter East Building, 228 Chamberlain St. This class is designed for those interested in installing their own drip irrigation systems and for those who want to select a drip irrigation method for a professional to install.
Basic Home Leak Detection and Repair
Participants will learn how to identify and repair minor common household leaks from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at Valley View Municipal Complex, 333 Valley View Lane.
Learn about water conservation through the harvesting of rainwater from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 18, Valley View Municipal Complex, 333 Valley View Lane. Students also will learn how to build a rainwater harvesting collection barrel. Students will receive a rain barrel ready for use at the end of the clinic. Registration is required and costs $30.
