As part of the national Join the Pace Makers awareness campaign, the Irving Heritage Senior Center, the Dallas Area Agency on Aging and the National Council on Aging will host a free educational seminar followed by dancing from 9:30 a.m. to noon April 30 at Heritage Senior Center, 200 S. Jefferson St.

The goal is to empower people with a slow heartbeat to educate themselves about their condition and play an active role in health care decision-making with their doctor. A local physician will be onsite to inform attendees about the truths and the myths of pacemakers, as well as available treatment options.

Registration is required for this free event. RSVP to (972) 721-2496 by April 25; space is limited. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome. For more information, visit jointhepacemakers.com.
