Identity Theft – Forgery - Credit Card Abuse Information & Forms Identity Theft, Forgery,and Credit Card Abuse are among the most difficult offenses facing citizens today. The financial devastation that is caused can linger mercilessly if allowed to go unchecked. In our ongoing efforts to combat these problems the following information is being offered by the Irving Police Department’s Forgery Unit. The most common financial crimes are the three listed above and often they are intermingled. Because of inherent problems many of the investigative forms, statements, affidavits and questions related to them are similar, however each must be dealt with separately.
