Irving Blvd., Irving, Texas 75061. The City Secretary's Office is no longer receiving these bids. All such bids now go to Purchasing. Bids may be submitted in person or by common carrier. The due time for all CIP bids is 10:00 am on the date specificed in the solicitation. As with all City, no late bids can be accepted. There will be a public opening of bids, following the 10:00 am deadline, in the Purchasing Conference room at the same location. STADIUM DEMOLITION The City of Irving has awarded a contract to Jacobs Engineering to develop specifications for the demolition of the stadium that was the long-time home of the Dallas Cowboys. Jacobs will work with Terracon Consultants, who is currently under contract to the City as a consultant in asbestos abatement. The City now expects an RFP to be advertised around the second week in July, with award and demolition to follow shortly. Vendors interested in this project are encouraged to register with the Purchasing Notification Database. There is no cost for this service, and interested parties will be notified by e-mail when the RFP is posted. STADIUM AUCTION The City of Irving will dispose of remaining equipment from the stadium through an auction conducted by http://www.lonestarauctioneers.com and interested parties should register with the auctioneer. A specific date for the auction has not been set. Items will be available for viewing prior to the auction, either in person or by pictures. Details on the date and viewing opportunities will be posted as soon as they are finalized. This is not a sale of memorabilia. Items being disposed of by the City include kitchen equipment, lockers, bulk seating, and other miscellaneous equipment. A complete listing will be posted by the auctioneer, as soon as it's available. RECEIVING SOLICITATION NOTICES All notices for ITB and RFP/RFQ solicitations by Purchasing will be sent electronically. In order for you to receive notifications, please complete the Bidder's Application and fax or send to the City of Irving Purchasing. By completing the Bidder's Application with your current e-mail address, your company will be added to our notification database. SEALED BIDS FOR CITY OF IRVING In 2007, the State of Texas passed enabling legislation allowing municipalities to raise the threshold for formal, sealed bids. The new threshold is not mandatory, and at this time the City of Irving is continuing to request formal, sealed responses for all bids over $25,000.
