Cable Television Board
• Assists and advises the City Council on the administration of franchises granted for cable television operations in the city.
• Consists of nine voting members.
• Meets at 6 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at the Civic Center.
The Cable Television Board was appointed by the City on July 30, 1981. The primary purpose of the Board is to assist and advise the City of Irving in the administration of the cable franchise, with particular regard to the community/municipal use channels - ICTN. Development of policies, the annual budget, and the annual performance evaluation are major responsibilities of the Cable Television Board.
