Minority and/or Women Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in Irving’s procurement process. The Purchasing Division will provide additional clarification of specifications, assistance with Proposal Forms, and further explanation of procedures to those who request it. If you wish to receive a letter advising you how to obtain specifications for specific products and/or services in which the city is currently soliciting bids and/or proposals, you must complete the City of Irving Bidder’s Application with the following information: 1) check the appropriate boxes on the Bidder’s Application stating that you are a minority or women owned business, and list your certification number; 2) properly check all the commodity code(s) that apply to your business on the Bidder’s Application; and 3) if your company information changes, you must complete the “change of address” form on the city’s website, or contact Purchasing to provide your revised information. If we receive a notification that has been returned with a bad address, Purchasing deletes your company entirely from our bidder’s list database in order to save postage on future mailings. The City of Irving recognizes the certifications of the State of Texas Building and Procurement Commission HUB Program; North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency; and South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency. All companies seeking information concerning certification are urged to contact:
