The eight treadmill machines provide a moving platform with a wide conveyor belt for easier walking. The belt moves to the rear allowing a person to walk or run an equal, and necessarily opposite velocity. The rate at which the belt moves is the rate of walking or running. Thus, the speed of running may be controlled and measured.
A recumbent bicycle is a bicycle that places the rider in a laid-back reclining position. Most recumbent riders choose this type of design for ergonomic reasons: the rider’s weight is distributed comfortably over several square feet of the back and buttocks.
