Open Records

The City Secretary is the public information coordinator for the City of Irving. This office is responsible for coordinating with city departments and ensuring that all Open Records Requests are processed in a timely fashion in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act and city procedures.

For open records requests, please fill out our online Open Records Request Form. Records will be provided based on available format. For information regarding public records, please visit the Texas Attorney General Office website.

To file an open records request with the Irving Police Department, download and submit the Police Department Open Records Request form.

Open Meetings

Appointed and elected officials are required by the Texas Attorney General's Office to take training on Open Meetings guidelines within 90 days of their appointed or elected date. The City Secretary's Office assists with coordinating Open Meetings Act training for the board volunteers.
