Child Abuse Investigations

The Child Abuse Unit is responsible for investigating all criminal allegations of abuse of a child that are committed within the family.

The investigators use a multidisciplinary approach for their investigations, incorporating Child Protective Services (CPS), medical services through Children’s Health Systems and the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, as well as close communication with the District Attorney’s Office.
