The North Lake Natatorium reopened November 2017 after an extensive remodeling project. The 50-meter indoor swimming facility is open for year-round classes and swimming activities for the Irving community. 

North Lake Natatorium is open year-round to the public.

HOLIDAY CLOSURES:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving and Friday following
  • Christmas

The natatorium is a partnership of the City of Irving, the Irving Independent School District (IISD), and the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD), and it is operated and managed by the City of Irving for joint use by the city and IISD. The natatorium is located on the North Lake College campus, 5001 N. MacArthur Blvd.

It is the only Olympic-size pool in Irving and is used by IISD, USA Swim Club and other local schools for swim team practices and competitions. In addition, its convenient north Irving location provides a home to the Pirouettes of Texas synchronized swim team, as well as swim lessons, water aerobics classes and other recreational events.

  1. GUIDELINES

    Guests using aquatic facilities should note:

    • No food, drinks or coolers are allowed, with the exception of bottled water, in indoor aquatic facilities.
    • Outside food and drinks are allowed at outdoor aquatic facilities. A cooler fee of $5 is charged for any cooler larger than 24 inches long by 15 inches wide by 18 inches high.
      • All coolers are subject to inspection at the facility's entry.
    • No glass containers are allowed in Irving aquatic facilities.
    • No alcohol is allowed at Irving aquatic facilities.
    • Proper swim attire must be worn at the pool.
    • Guests are encouraged to wear a face mask covering their mouth and nose on deck areas.
    • Lifejackets are available for loan.
