Family Aquatic Centers Reopen June 26

Beginning Friday, June 26, Cimarron and West Irving Aquatic Parks will open for weekend only recreational swimming. Limited guest capacity per session will be enforced. Residents must reserve swim times and pay swim fees in advance on ActiveNet.

To ensure safety and sanitation, guests must provide their own Coast Guard-approved life jackets. No items are available for loan. No food, drinks or coolers will be allowed in an aquatic center, with the exception of bottled water.

Aquatic Center Locations

Hours of Operation

  • 1:30 to 6 p.m. | Friday
  • Noon to 7 p.m. | Saturday and Sunday

Facilities will be cleaned and disinfected between sessions at 3:30 to 4 p.m. on Friday. On Saturdays, cleaning will occur 2 to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 5 p.m.

Other guidelines

  • Restrooms remain open.
  • Showers and locker rooms will be closed.
  • Proper swim attire must be worn to and from the pool.
  • Guests should exit the facility promptly at the end of the swim session.
  • Guests must wear a face mask covering their mouth and nose on deck and other common areas.
  • No private facility rentals or cabana rentals will be accepted at this time.
  • No refunds will be issued for canceled or shortened swim sessions, including weather incidents and emergency maintenance operations.

Other Facilities

Spray parks may reopen later this summer. Please monitor the Parks and Recreation website and social media for updates. 

Due to staffing shortages, in-ground pools at Senter Park, Lively Park and Lee Park will not reopen this summer.
