Heritage Senior Center
The City offers a wide variety of programming and activities for residents age 50 and older through the Heritage Senior Center. Built in 2003, the 40,000-square-foot facility is state-of-the-art.

Facility Rental
Recreation centers can only be reserved only during non-operational hours. There will be a building leasing fee, and no alcoholic beverages are allowed for any function. Please call (972) 721-2496 for availability. See the Facility Rentals page for more information.

Fees
Heritage Senior Center members must be at least 50 years of age and provide two proofs of residency (any current state photo ID, plus a utility bill, statement or any other correspondence showing your name and current address). For corporate memberships, proof of employment can be established with a paycheck stub with company address and a photo ID.
- Irving Resident: $10 annually
- Nonresident: $30 annually
- Corporate: $25 annually, for those 50 and older and working within Irving city limits.
- Under 50 Pass: $5 annually, in order to participate in HSC classes.
- Member for a Day: $3 per day

Having Fun Over 50
Getting older doesn't mean you have to slow down. Through the Irving Parks and Recreation Department, the Heritage Senior Center (HSC) offers plenty of fun and creative activities to help seniors stay active. The facility's schedule is filled with fitness classes, field trips, workshops and guest speakers. Stop in for a Tuesday night dance or check out all the center's activities and services in the monthly Heritage Herald magazine.
Services
HSC offers its members assistance with transportation needs, Social Security benefits counseling and tax preparation. In addition, a daily meal program is offered for a small fee through the Dallas Area Agency on Aging. The center also has a list of valuable resources for seniors with information on local and state organizations.

CLASSES
- View and register for classes through the online reservation system, ActiveNet.
- Residents can also join the free, virtual classes offered weekly through Zoom.
