Inability to Pay

If you are unable to pay your fine/costs in full, a payment plan is available to satisfy your judgment(s) in reasonable installments. If you are indigent and cannot pay all or any part of the fine/costs, the Irving Municipal Court allows you to satisfy judgment(s) through community service.

  • If you feel community service is the best option for you, please call (972) 721-3582 for more information about the program.
  • After speaking to a court clerk regarding this option, you must complete and submit a community service affidavit in person at Irving Municipal Court, 305 N. O’Connor Road. If you are not currently in default of an existing community service agreement, you will be eligible for the program upon submission. If you are currently in default, your request will be submitted to the Judge for consideration.
  • When deemed eligible, you will be set for the community service docket. It is mandatory you appear for this docket. Failure to appear will result in removal from the program.
  • Instructions and assignments will be provided during the community service docket, to include the number of hours you will be required to perform.
  • Failure to complete all requirements will result in removal from the program.

This program provides the opportunity to satisfy the judgment rendered against you without payment of fine/costs. You are accountable for completion of the assignments.
