Summer Adventure Camp

A fun, safe environment for children to spend their summer.

Irving Parks and Recreation provides a full-time day camp program throughout the summer, offering 10 one-week sessions for children. Eligible campers must currently be attending kindergarten through fifth grade during the 2019-20 school year. Registration for Summer Splash Camp will begin Saturday, April 27. The first day of camp is Monday, June 3. Camp hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Irving Parks and Rec Summer Splash Camp Field Trip

Offered at six different locations throughout the city, Summer Splash Camp is designed to keep children active and engaged. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, sports, video games, and awesome twice-a-week field trips to places such as Six Flags Over Texas, Main Event family entertainment centers, Texas Rangers baseball games, Medieval Times and local zoos.

Registration for Summer Splash Camp opens at 9 a.m. on the last Saturday in April. A valid Irving Parks and Recreation (IPAR) identification (ID) card is required for registration. Each session is $100 per camper, and session fees include all field trips, camp T-shirt and morning and afternoon snacks. A free lunch program is offered at all locations except Mustang Park Recreation Center.

Irving Parks and Rec Summer Splash Campers

Holiday Break Camps

Irving Parks and Recreation offers holiday break day camps during the school year for children in grades K-5. Activities include arts and crafts, gym games and fun field trips.

Campers are asked to bring a sack lunch each day, but they are provided with morning and afternoon snacks. Camp hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration is available online at ActiveNet or on-site at city recreation centers. A valid IPAR ID card is required for registration. Fees vary.

  • Thanksgiving Break Camp – Held the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving weekend.
  • Winter Break Camp – Held during the two weeks that schools are closed for Winter Break. No camp on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
  • Spring Break Camp – Held each year during the school district’s Spring Break.
