Irving Parks and Recreation offers a variety of day camps throughout the school year for children in grades K-5. Activities include arts and crafts, gym games and fun field trips.
Campers are asked to bring a sack lunch each day, but they are provided with morning and afternoon snacks. Camp hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration is available online at ActiveNet Opens a New Window. or on-site at city recreation centers. Registration opens three weeks prior to the start of camp and requires a valid Irving Parks and Recreation (IPAR) ID card. Fees vary.

Irving Parks and Recreation provides a full-time day camp program throughout the summer, offering 10 one-week sessions for children ages 5-12. Children age 5 must have completed kindergarten before camp begins. Summer Splash Camp typically starts on the first Monday after the school year ends. Camp hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Offered at six different locations throughout the city, Summer Splash Camp is designed to keep children active and engaged. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, sports, video games, and awesome twice-a-week field trips to places such as Six Flags Over Texas, Rangers baseball games, Main Event family entertainment centers, Medieval Times and local zoos.
Registration for Summer Splash Camp opens at 9 a.m. on the last Saturday in April. A valid Irving Parks and Recreation (IPAR) identification (ID) card is required for registration. Each session is $100 per camper, and session fees include all field trips, camp T-shirt and morning and afternoon snacks. A free lunch program is offered at all locations except Mustang Park Recreation Center.
