Get ready to explore the mysterious and the crack the puzzle of imagination because Summer Reading is back! This year's theme is Only Mysteries in the Library, and no matter how readers solve the challenge, expect new discoveries, exciting prizes, and fantastic events.
For every five books read (audiobooks count, too!) participants will earn a prize! Participants can earn up to a maximum of eight prizes. Those who complete all eight entries will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing.
Pick up a paper reading log by dropping by the library, or go digital with READSquared, the library's online reading log tracker. Reading logs are available to print and download at home.

How to Participate:
Step One:
- Read or listen to five books.
Step Two:
- Track the titles on READSquared or the paper reading log.
Step Three:
- Win! Prizes can be claimed starting June 5, while supplies last. Prize pick-up dates may change depending on library accessibility.
- A total of up to 8 prizes can be claimed by completing all entries on the paper log or in READsquared. Program completion also qualifies the participant to be entered into the Grand Prize drawing.

Tried and True Book Club: Vanity Fair by William M. Thackeray
Discuss this month's selection with other readers during this group, held on the second Thursday of each month. The genre alternates monthly: One month, revisit the tried titles and the classics, and the next month, explore new nonfiction.

Friends of the Irving Public Library Annual Book Sale
Stock up on summer reading at the Friends of the Irving Library Annual Book Sale. Most items are $1 or less, and include books, music and videos for all ages. Proceeds benefit Irving Public Library.
Location: 3000 Rock Island Road.
Sale hours:
3 to 7 p.m., June 9: Members-Only Preview. Memberships are available at the door.
