Municipal Court

The Irving Municipal Court is rescheduling all defendants, jurors and witnesses set for a hearing or trial from March 17, 2020 through May 31, 2020. A written notice from the Court will be sent advising of the new date and time of your hearing, trial or jury service.  (Current Online Dockets)

Upon request, accommodations will be made for our vulnerable populations. Please call the court to discuss available options.  

Note: Facial coverings may be required upon entering the facility for anyone over the age of 2. 

Court Duties

The Municipal Court’s role is to make formal judgments or decisions about violations of city ordinances and other minor crimes. Its six divisions are:

  • Administration
  • Compliance / Warrant
  • Court Services
  • Customer Service
  • Judicial
  • Teen Court


Can be paid online or by phone at (866) 223-6021. (Note: Parking citations can be paid online or by phone, but the vehicle license plate number from the citation would have to be used for the search criteria.)

Notice (Aviso)

A fine is punishment and the court has an expectation that all fines and court costs will be paid at the time of sentencing. (Una multa es un castigo y la corte espera que todas las multas y costos de la corte sean pagados en el momento de la sentencia.)

Be Advised

Failure to handle your citation in a timely manner may result in the issuance of a warrant, denial of vehicle registration and submission of your case(s) to a collection agency where additional fees will be added.

Returned / canceled ("bounced") checks are handled by the Justices of the Peace.
