Court Duties
Class C misdemeanor criminal offenses including traffic and city ordinance violations that occur in Irving are filed in the Irving Municipal Court.
The Municipal Court’s role is to make formal judgments or decisions about violations of city ordinances and other minor crimes. Its six divisions are:
- Administration
- Compliance / Warrant
- Court Services
- Customer Service
- Judicial
- Teen Court
Citations
Can be paid online or by phone at (866) 223-6021. (Note: Parking citations can be paid online or by phone, but the vehicle license plate number from the citation would have to be used for the search criteria.)
Notice (Aviso)
A fine is punishment and the court has an expectation that all fines and court costs will be paid at the time of sentencing. (Una multa es un castigo y la corte espera que todas las multas y costos de la corte sean pagados en el momento de la sentencia.)
Be Advised
Failure to handle your citation in a timely manner may result in the issuance of a warrant, denial of vehicle registration and submission of your case(s) to a collection agency where additional fees will be added.
Returned / canceled ("bounced") checks are handled by the Justices of the Peace.
