The Criminal Trespass Program allows business properties and the Irving Police Department to work together to reduce criminal activity arising from individuals criminally trespassing on their properties. The Criminal Trespass Affidavit that you authorize allows the Irving Police Department to act as your agent in your absence. This is primarily used by officers out in the field while the business is closed and you have an individual(s) trespassing on your property. An individual contacted for trespassing may be charged with violating the Texas Penal Code Sec. 30.05, Criminal Trespass. The property owner/manager will formally file a criminal complaint against the violator(s). Program participants are required to renew their desire to participate in the program each year.
