You will have access to the following content and features:

  • Over 16,000 courses on a wide variety of topics in business, software, technology, and creative skills.
  • Courses are offered in 7 different languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin (Chinese), and Japanese.
  • Expert Instructors with real-world experience.
  • 60+ new courses added each week!
  • An updated, easier-to-use interface with the option to customize what courses to display on your dashboard.
  • Your previous course history from Lynda.com.
  • Log in via library card and PIN without the need for a LinkedIn profile.

Why is this happening?

Lynda.com was acquired by LinkedIn in 2015 and is now merging the content from Lynda.com into its LinkedIn Learning service. Everything from Lynda.com will be moved into LinkedIn Learning.

What will happen to my Lynda.com account?

All Lynda.com information will transfer to LinkedIn Learning. You will be able to continue where you left off in any courses. Your learning history and certificates of completion will transfer as well. Your account information is linked to your library card number.

Account information will transfer, but you may want to download copies of any certificates of completion before the change to be absolutely sure you have them.

Do I need to have a LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning for Libraries?

No, you’ll only need your library card number and PIN.

What happens on the day of the change?

On the day of the change, Lynda.com will not be available as the transfer takes place. The total downtime should be less than 24 hours but could take longer. When the transition is complete, our links to Lynda.com will be changed to take you to LinkedIn Learning.
