- Texas Women’s Foundation | Resilience Fund: Established to help meet the needs of lower income women and families in this time of unprecedented challenges.
- United Way Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund: United Way of Metropolitan Dallas is working with community leaders to identify resource and service gaps and begin planning for long-term recovery. A contribution to the fund will go to community-based organizations assisting those who have been hit hardest by this pandemic.
Domestic, Sexual Violence
- Brighter Tomorrows | Thirty More Society Campaign: Donation of just $30 helps provide shelter and support for domestic and sexual violence survivors, replacing revenue lost due to the closure of its resale shop and cancellation of other donation drive events.
- Brighter Tomorrows | In-Kind Donations: Accepting donations for its office and shelters, including gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towels, towels, cleaning supplies, trash bags, personal care toiletries. Also accepting donations for resale shop: Gently used, sellable items such as clothing, household goods, furniture, appliances and toys. - Facing Abuse in Community Environments
Health Care, First Responders, PPE
- Baylor Scott and White Irving Foundation: Donations help better equip the system’s physicians, nurses and allied health team members based in Irving.
- Carter Bloodcare: Seeking blood donations (by appointment) for the North Texas region.
- Irving Fire Foundation: In-kind donations of personal protective equipment and N95 masks accepted. Monetary donations can be mailed to Irving Fire Foundation, 845 W. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75060.
- Irving Police Department: Accepting in-kind donations of disinfectant cleaners and sprays, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer.
- Parkland Foundation | Public Health Preparedness Fund: This fund will help Parkland response to the most urgent needs that come with delivering quality, compassionate care in Dallas County during the current COVID-19 pandemic, while also building the capacity for Parkland to make an immediate impact locally when the next public health emergency arises.
- Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS): Established web platform for those in medical and emergency response to donate time or request volunteers, which are coordinated through the state and deployed to areas most in need.
Pets, Animal Companions
- Canine Companions for Independence: There are over 400 people waiting to be matched with a Canine Companions assistance dog. Donations help continue to give independence to children, adults and veterans with disabilities through expertly trained assistance dogs.
- DFW Humane Society: Adopt, foster or donate to an animal in need.
- Irving Animal Services: Adopt, foster or donate to an animal in need.
- Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) – Texas Restaurant Relief Fund: Funds received will help keep independently owned restaurants open and their workers employed. As restaurants await relief from the government through the stimulus package and navigate the application process for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Economic Injury disaster loans, they are fighting for their survival. TRA needs to get money into their hands today, and so have set out to raise a minimum of $10 million to support as many of Texas’ independently owned restaurants as possible.
