Homeless Prevention Program (Rental Assistance)

Please read before applying

City of Irving's COVID related funds for Rental Assistance will be expiring on September 30, 2023. Due to the high volume of applicants, not all applications will be reviewed prior to the expiration of COVID Funding. Many residents who have requested rental assistance may be impacted by this change.

Applicants are contacted in the order in which their application is received. City staff are working diligently to contact residents prior to the COVID funds expiration.

Even though COVID funding will be expiring, the City of Irving has been allocated additional rental assistance funds through the standard annual Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program. Some applicants may be affected by the City of Irving's transition to the standard ESG funded rental assistance program.

These funds do not have the same COVID related guidelines. Applicants that do not meet standard ESG eligibility criteria will be notified and provided alternative resources. Assistance is subject to eligibility and available program funding.

If you have already submitted an application, call (972) 721-4899 to check your application status. Do not submit another application as it will delay the process.
