Manage Your City Utility Account

The City of Irving’s Customer Service Department is located on the first floor of City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. 

There, customers set up a new account, transfer or discontinue service, pay their city utility (water, sewer, trash) bill and purchase recycling and trash bags. Service requests are completed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding city holidays.

However, Irving must follow COVID-19 protocols to keep customers and staff safe, and the city is subject to state and county restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic. As a result, the city online utility billing system was upgraded to service customers in a contact-free environment and offer an additional method for paying utility bills.

The customer portal allows visitors to submit work orders, change their address, sign up for paperless billing and receive tips on improving water consumption.

Current Irving utility customers can fill out the online account registration form. The utility account number is required for registration. Find your account number.

If a customer previously paid their bill online through Paymentus, the same email address is required to connect to bill payment history.

Set Up New Utility Service

New residential and business customers can set up service online through the portal

Required documents:

  • Deed or rental/lease agreement
  • Driver's license or valid form of Identification

Allow 1-3 business days to process the request. If the request cannot be filled promptly, a Customer Service representative will contact the applicant with follow-up questions.

A account is required to submit an online request to discontinue service. Once logged in, select “Forms” in the left-side menu to find the appropriate form.

Change Mailing Address

A account is required to submit an online request to change the account owner’s mailing address. Once logged in, select “Forms” in the left-side menu to find the appropriate form.
