To discontinue service, complete the disconnection form by logging onto your customer portal account at myirvingbill.org or complete a Request Form (PDF) and fax it, along with a copy of your driver's license (residential accounts), to (972) 721-3733. The form also can be mailed to City of Irving Customer Service Department, 825 W. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75060.
The account's meter will be read on the day services are requested to terminate. A final bill will be prepared to include all use from the date of the last meter reading until the date of discontinued services.
If a deposit is held on the account, it will be credited towards the final bill. The final bill and any remaining balance refund that may be available will be mailed to the forwarding address indicated on the Request Form, which can take up to 45 days.
Refund balance will be mailed as a check if the balance is $10 or more; customers must request a refund for balances of less than $10 by calling Customer Service at (972) 721-2411.
