The MiY (Make it Yourself) Zone at the South Irving Library is a fully functioning makerspace with a 3D printer, sewing machines, a Cricut cutting machine and heat press, a digital creation and recording space for graphic design, podcasting, photography, video production and more!

Requirements to use the MiY Zone

A valid Irving Library card, a signed MiY Zone waiver and completed MiY Zone orientation are required to use the equipment in the space. Orientations take place at the start of each hour the MiY Zone is open each day. Orientations also take place 30-minutes prior to each introductory "Learn" class (Learn Laser Etcher Basics, Learn Sewing Basics, Learn 3D Printing Basics, etc.) 

MIY ZONE CLASSES

A valid Irving Library card, a signed MiY Zone waiver and completed MiY Zone orientation are required to attend MiY Zone classes. Click the "Upcoming Events" image to see the MiY Zone calendar for all Irving Library locations.

Please read class descriptions carefully. Some classes at the South MiY Zone require a registration on the City of Irving Activities page. The registration portal opens 1 week prior to the class start date. Only "Learn" classes, "Create" adult programs and teen DIY Geek Chic programs that require registration will be listed on the City's Activities page. Visit the MiY Zone Calendar for direct links.
