How Can I learn to use the MiY Zone Equipment?

The library hosts in-person classes and project-oriented programs geared toward learning more about the MiY Zone equipment. They are very limited in size. Requirements for all classes at South and Valley Ranch libraries are a completed orientation, a signed waiver and a valid Irving Library card. 

Valley Ranch Library requires an event registration for classes and programs, except when noted on an event entry. The registration portal for an event will open 1 week prior to the program date. South Irving Library only requires the completed orientation and signed documentation to attend their MiY Zone events, except where noted. For questions, call (972) 721-2606.

West Irving Library does not have a fully operational makerspace at this time. This location hosts pop-up events that do not require an orientation. Some programs do require registration. How Do I Attend an Orientation?

Orientations will take place at the start of each hour during regular MiY Zone hours for the South Irving and Valley Ranch Library locations (MiY Zone hours are different than library business hours).
