Irving Neighborhood Grant Program

The Irving Neighborhood Grant Program encourages neighborhood leaders to implement projects that will foster a spirit of community. The amount of the application submitted cannot exceed $1,750. Grant applications are reviewed, approved and awarded by a committee, subject to approval of funds approved by Council. For additional information, call (972) 721-4969.

There are four project categories available to receive funds.

Newsletters, fliers, websites and other projects that enhance communication among neighborhood residents.Streets sign toppers, signs, banners, etc.Minor improvements of neighborhood green spaces, tree planting (specific amount and type of tree must be included in the application) and beautification of neighborhood gateway entries.Neighborhood social, educational or cultural activities, etc. Events must be nonpolitical in nature.

As part of the grant program, Neighborhood Associations can now request black and white or color printing that is done through the City of Irving for $.25 per sheet/page, which is included in their grant application. Files to be printed should be sent to Tammy Hanson and Rebecca Banks. Allow 7-10 business days for completed print requests. This includes 8.5 x 11 or smaller:

  • Fliers
  • Newsletters
  • Meeting Notices
  • Meeting Agendas

Items not authorized for purchase through this grant:

  • Alcohol
  • Bounce House rental
  • Capital Items (i.e. computer, printer, lawn mower, etc.)
  • Door Prizes
  • Greeting Cards
  • Labor or Repair Costs
  • Gift Cards
  • Tips
