Project
The North Nursery Corridor has been selected as a Pilot Project for a new Neighborhood Planning effort within the City of Irving. The purpose of this and future planning efforts is to:
Improve communications between residents and City Hall,
Empower residents and stakeholders to define the future of their community, and
Ensure that the city's plans, particularly regarding future land use, match the needs and desires of the residents within each of Irving's neighborhoods
Boundaries

While the boundaries of this neighborhood planning effort will ultimately be determined by the community's stakeholder leadership, for preliminary discussion, City Staff proposes this planning area include the area south of Belew Street, East of Britain Road, North of Rock Island railroad, and West of Irving Heights Drive.
The suggested area encompasses approximately 818.0 acres, 1,634 assorted single family homes and duplexes, 2,255 apartment units or townhomes, 92 mobile homes, and is home to approximately 9,500 Irving residents.
