These meetings are for anyone interested in helping discuss the needs and future of the North Nursery Corridor neighborhood. All are welcome to attend and if the room gets too small, we can reconvene in an adjacent larger meeting space.
A Spanish speaking staff member attends all meetings and will be available to assist with any necessary translation at these meetings.
Project
The North Nursery Corridor has been selected as a Pilot Project for a new Neighborhood Planning effort within the City of Irving. The purpose of this and future planning efforts is to:
Improve communications between residents and City Hall,
Empower residents and stakeholders to define the future of their community, and ensure that the city's plans, particularly regarding future land use, match the needs and desires of the residents within each of Irving's neighborhoods
Boundaries
The North Nursery Corridor planning area covers the area south of Belew Street, East of Britain Road, North of Rock Island railroad, and West of Irving Heights Drive.
This focus area encompasses approximately 818.0 acres, 1,634 assorted single family homes and duplexes, 2,255 apartment units or townhomes, 92 mobile homes, and is home to approximately 9,500 Irving residents.

Recent Events
La Michoacana Outreach Event, February 25, 2023. Our outreach event was a tremendous success in terms of the number of people we met and resident surveys collected. We would like to thank our committee members who placed event fliers around the neighborhood and those who came by to visit and lend a helping hand. Our special thanks go out to Mary Ann Kellam of the Irving Hispanic Chamber, her staff and board members who joined us to ensure that Spanish speaking residents could fully share their views and hopes for the future of the neighborhood.
Gilbert Elementary All-Pro Dad's Meeting, February 9, 2023. We would like to thank Irving ISD and the staff at Gilbert Elementary for inviting us to speak at this event. We reached more than 125 parents and their children informing them of the neighborhood planning project and inviting them to share their ideas for the future of the neighborhood through our community survey. Sixteen attendees asked to join our mailing list to stay informed about this project.
