Website Redesign
Last update: March 6, 2023
The current City of Irving website turns nine years old this year, and the Communications Department is planning a website redesign to enhance communication and access to information. The project includes the external facing city website, CityofIving.org, as well as the internal employee website known as Inet.
Public input is important to understanding how the new city website can best serve the community and Irving employees. A survey was conducted from Feb. 1 to March 5, 2023 to assess the community's likes, dislikes and ideas to improve this critical communication outlet. The survey was made available in English and Spanish.
Survey responses will be published here at a later date.
Irving 360 Academy Graduates – Focus Group
In addition to collecting public input via survey, a focus group of Irving 360 Academy graduates was held on Jan. 23. The participants were encouraged to familiarize themselves with the website and have an open discussion about:
- What they like about the current website
- What they don’t like about the website, and
- What big ideas or suggestions would make the next website better
The focus group input, as well as survey results, will be used in the planning and development of the next City of Irving website.
