About Towne is a biweekly half-hour arts series that highlights Irving’s excellent local artists and craftsmen, entertainment venues and arts organizations. It also serves the viewing audience by publicizing upcoming concerts, performances, festivals and events.

We’ll check out the 36th annual Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibit. We’ll meet the winners of the Lone Star Youth Orchestra’s 2021 Concerto Competition and we’ll have a profile of Irving artist John Lee Hunter. Plus, we’ll get the details on the Irving Black Arts Council’s season finale, “Soul Sisters & Soul Music with Friends” and we have some excellent suggestions for movie night at our local theaters OR at home.

JUNE 17-JUNE 30

Next time on About Towne we’ll be there for the heat when ZestFest returns to the Irving Convention Center. We’ll get carried away at Circo Metropolis and we’ll tune in for the Nashville Legacy Lives On. Plus, we’ll have the latest details on this year’s Independence Day festivities, and we have some excellent suggestions for movie night at our local theaters OR at home.
