About Towne is a biweekly half-hour arts series that highlights Irving’s excellent local artists and craftsmen, entertainment venues and arts organizations. It also serves the viewing audience by publicizing upcoming concerts, performances, festivals and events.

We’ll have a preview of MainStage Irving/Las Colinas’ “Xanadu.” We’ll meet some talented high school artists, and we’ll have highlights from TexasFest 2019: Peace. Love. Health. Plus, we’ll get the details on the 2019 Dragon Boat, Kite and Lantern Festival, we’ll have a preview of the Sgt. Pepper Lonely Bluegrass Band concert presented by the Entertainment Series of Irving, and we’ll get the details on BAPS Walk Green 2019.

MAY 23-june 5

Next time on About Towne, we’ll have highlights from KamehaCon 2019. We’ll attend Breakfast with the Stars 2019, and we’ll meet some of Irving’s most promising high school graduates in the visual art program. Plus, we’ll get the details on how lovely senior ladies can get involved with the Ms. Mature Irving Pageant. We’ll also find out how to get a spot in the Irving Black Arts Council’s Open Mic Night and we’ll preview the SEE – Self Esteem Elevated – Conference, which returns to the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
