Qualifications
Qualifications given in the job description in this flier represent only the minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. In addition to these qualifications, the minimum age requirement for regular full-time and part-time employment is 18, with the exception of Aquatic Center Lifeguard (part-time). For seasonal employment, the minimum age is 16.

Duties shown in the job description represent a summary of the essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
The City of Irving seeks a creative, innovative and highly motivated person to become the next Chief Technology Officer. The incoming Chief Technology Officer will have exceptional interpersonal skills along with being a strong, forward-thinking leader. The Chief Technology Officer oversees a multifaceted department, and is a member of the Executive Team for the City of Irving.The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for developing the team’s strategy for technological resources and interests, and leads the team in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the Information Technology Department. On an enterprise level, the Chief Technology Officer is responsible for managing the city’s technology programs and information systems.
The next Chief Technology Officer will need to be a strong and innovative leader; have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, Leadership Studies or a closely related field; and have a minimum of ten (10) years of increasingly responsible related experience, including five (5) years of administrative and management experience.
