Join this opportunity with Irving Aquatics to strengthen your swimming abilities. The goal of Guard Ready is to meet the prerequisites to participate in an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course.

The prerequisites are:

- 300-yard swim of freestyle and breaststroke

- Two-minute tread

- Timed Event - You have 1 minute and 40 seconds to swim 20 yards, dive down in deep water and retrieve a heavy object. Swim back 20 yards with the heavy object.

We will practice these skills until you feel confident and strong!

Upon successful completion of these skills, you can sign-up for a certification course.
