One World, Many Tales: African American Read-In

This annual event showcases African American children's literature in honor of African American Heritage Month. Storyteller Toni Simmons is featured, with her presentation of interactive folktales, songs, rhythms, chants and audience participation. A diverse group of additional readers will share literature reflecting on life's experiences and a love of reading. Irving Public Library has hosted the Read-In since 2011, and the program is for all ages.
