Guard Ready Lifeguard Training

Get lifeguard ready with Guard Ready. Ages 14 and older work with an instructor to improve swimming skills and pass the pretests. All participants are eligible to attend City of Irving Lifeguard Certification once they pass the pretests. Irving Parks and Recreation hires Red Cross-certified lifeguards, ages 15 and older for summer seasonal positions, 16 and older for year-round part-time positions, and 18 and older for full-time positions at its aquatic facilities.
